Soon I'll be headed to Orientation in Virginia. I'm excited to be around people who share my passion. It will not be easy leaving this place I've had to call "home" for the past four years, but I know that what's next is so exciting.
I'm all packed up and will be getting all my belongings out of my apartment tomorrow. I'll also be turning in my key. I have a feeling it will be quite anti-climactic, kindof like my last shift at Starbucks was after working there for three whole years. But it will be sad at the same time. I've lived in that apartment for 3 years and shared it with 4 Godly women who I wouldn't trade for the world (yes, 5 girls in a 2 bedroom apt...only by God's grace are we all still alive.).
They have been my sisters and my best friends. Sure, we've had our moments, sisterhood is not all rosy. But we have loved each other nevertheless and will stay friends for a very very long time.
I know that the Lord will provide other friendships along the way...people who I can trust and share the next chapter of my life with. He has always been faithful to that, every single time I've moved (and that's a lot of times, friends!).
Please continue to pray for me as I finish up these last few days in DFW and head off to training. I'll be visiting some family first, and that's exciting. As I leave this chapter of my life behind, I'll take with it lots of lessons and memories...and the great anticipation of what's to come in this incredible journey called "life."
